around the impeller to take large particles.The down side to this design is that the impeller cannot get hold of the water and create any pressure, back pressure on the system (head) simply pushes water back through the gaps around the impeller. Duplex Magflow - the snail shell shape of the chamber creates an area of tight tolerance where the impeller can generate significant pressure and higher clearance
areas where particles are picked up in the flow.This design is only possible because of the unique self-cleaning action, which operates if a particle does become trapped by the impeller (see below).
